I was in Bergen in 2015 and went to all of the sites listed. I went to meet relatives I didn’t know I had either! ( although they are from mor og romsdal) but we made a trip out of it and went to a lot of wonderful places including a few days on the Hurtigruten!!

That’s where my father was born, left home at age 16 to become a seaman and in 2017 met a cousin that I never knew I had. I would highly recommend the Scandic Hotel, right on the waterfront as a place to stay. Not sure if I’ll return again as the years have added up in my life.

One will never be disappointed with a visit to Bergen and perhaps start a trip on the Hurtigruten to the North Cape and discover how beautiful the country is.
