Surely this old searcheable list has to be updated in 2025—besides A-ha, outside of Norway and Europe, M2M, the female pop duo that just recently reunited to sold out venues in Southeast Asia (May 2025) in such a short time, proves they are among Norway’s top music ambassadors for the last 20-plus odd years despite decades apart and inactive as a group. Proof likewise of new websites, social media accounts and even new music together that was also recently released as of this comment.

Norway also has several fine young country/roots/Americana artists, such as Malin Pettersen, Signe Marie Rustad, The Northern Belle and Ida Jenshus.

In 2013 I discovered the music of Norwegian singer-songwriter and only World Idol winner, Kurt Nilsen. I went to Norway for one of his concerts and fell in love with Norway and the people I met. I have since traveled there almost 20 times for his music and the music of other artists such as Endre Nordvik, Tommy Kristiansen and Adam Douglas, to name a few.
