In reply to Betsy Larey. You can’t force å dog to run if it wants to stop it’ll stop. What else are these dogs going to do but the job they were bred for ? No sled dog racing no sled dogs and I’m not talking about the Siberian huskies and Alaskan malamute I talking about sled dogs.

In reply to Betsy Larey. Besty,you need to find a hobbie and butt out ,the Iditarod has been an instatution in Alaska for many many years and the sport of dog sled raceing is loved by many,there are always consequences in all sports. Take knitting up.

I wish the sled dog races were banned. We are working hard in the US to ban the Iditarod race in Alaska. Many sponsors over the years have pulled their sponsorship. 170 dogs have died during the race over the years. Many have suffered brutal injuries. Dogs are not built to do this, this is the racers who force them to. I wish they would stop this in Norway also
