Your take on the Norwegian culture is spot on, and the joy that your article reflects warms my old Norwegian spirit. I arrived in the States from Bergen with my family when I was nine, 68 years ago this spring. I returned several times as a teen for summer visits with my cousins, and often over the years with my wife. The last time just four years ago.
The fact that you were able to enjoy the Norwegian spirit as much as you did, not only speaks volumes about you, but confirms that Norway is still a very special place indeed. Thank you for a fun read.
