21 years’ imprisonment is the law’s most severe sentence, and it takes a lot for someone to be sentenced to this sentence. Since the Baneheia case in 2002, 13 people have been sentenced to detention for 21 years. The sentence can be extended by up to five years at a time and is the only sentence that can in reality be a life sentence.

Yeah and the scariest part is that the guy who did it will get out of prison in 2033, because he was only sentenced to 21 years back in 2012. He will be in his mid forties and therefore still able bodied enough to be dangerous to the public. He might be the first mass shooter in the world’s history to repeat offend.
