Best trip ever on Hurtigruten from Bergen to Kirkenes for 6 days, we chose one way as we wanted to see inland back down to Helsinki
The Hurtigruten was not only relaxing, informative with the expedition team on board, great food fresh every day from the different ports visited, enough time to see the many ports we visited.
The ship was very clean and staff friendly, on the whole an excellent experience we both shared…oh and that reindeer dish yummy.
Don’t think about it do it you won’t regret the beautiful scenery along the way…loved it
We took this trip in August all kinds of weather, although pleasant, some cold times

I traveled on the Midnosol to see the Northern Lights in January of 2016 ( sure it was ) it was the most exciting trip I have done and I’ve done many cruises. We even had an Artic hurricane traveling from Honnisvarg to Kirkenes. But can honestly say we hardly felt a thing. Can recall that when we berthed in Kirkenes the side of the ship was a complete sheet of ice. But would do it again tomorrow.

In reply to Ed Levine. Usually a ship layout with amenities is on the Hurtigruten web page. Take a look at each ship's diagram. Do this trip. A fantastic experience. Vesteralen - simple, fantastic food, great staff, the most beautiful visual you can ever undertake.

Further to my first 2 messages above – I believe the boat is the MS Nordstjernen & the A grade room maybe an outside cabin on deck 2-B. Keen to get some feed back.

Hi, our travel agent in Australia was trying to get us a category N cabin for the Svalbard 6 day cruise in July 2919 but they are fully booked out so the next best was an A grade cabin with 2 bunks. Sleeping in bunks does bother us but just wondering if anyone has been in the A grade cabins with bunks on this cruise.
