I am 50% Sami (as it’s said in English) and I’m not hesitant in saying so.
I’m From Varanger in East Finnmark, Norway. When I first met a indigenous person here in Oregon, I enjoyed speaking with them and we spoke of experiencing similar problems a.e. Sami had theirs badly in the 1960’s and the native tribes here had theirs ,starting a long time ago and to a certain extent, still going on. It’s fun to identify with others, thus- ‘blend in’!
