Do you know what work restrictions apply, if any, for Svalbard? I know it is a visa-free zone that has different rules/laws from the mainland. I am not a EU/EEA citizen but am self-employed and can do my work from anywhere. I am hoping to spend several months on Svalbard but have yet to determine if I am legally allowed to do remote work.
Cheers,

The advice is already in this article. If it doesn’t answer your question, you can check the source information on UDI.no or contact an immigration lawyer.

I am hoping to work remotely in Norway for an Irish Organisation (I am an Irish Citizen), I plan to apply for residency in Norway and pay taxes in Norway also.

Can you give any advice on this please?

Thank you

It depends on what work permit you have as the basis for residence in Norway. But as I said above, I cannot give personal advice. Check the UDI website for what is and isn’t allowed under the terms of your residence permit.

Say I am doing some software work here in a Norwegian company and now found a remote work in another EEA country? Do I have to create a company here in Norway, register myself self-employed and pay taxes in both countries? Is there any other way?

I’m not sure what you mean exactly. If you mean a job in Norway that allows you to work at home, then you will still need a regular work permit just like a job that requires you to go into an office.
