Very educational article regarding the SAS pilot strike issue.I believe future customers will think twice to fly by SAS airlines (if they exist) with cheap services in order to cut the operating costs. I wish they will resolve this issue mutually benefited to both parties.

Having been through two of these Corporate Crackups in the States, I can tell you from experience that they never work out well. Especially, for employees, customers and suppliers. And when the Lawyers and Courts get involved it gets even worse…

We are from UK, on holiday in Norway and hoping at some stage to fly on our booked SAS flights back to UK so obviously watching with great interest 🥺

This was more helpful than a lot of reports online.

My take. The airline used the Pandemic to create new airlines that pay less and likely don’t even have a union? The laid off pilots can’t go back to their old jobs paying what they used to make… and All the SAS employees see the writing on the wall.. Stand up and fight now… or they all loose eventually.

As a passenger you do not want to be on the plane with the cheapest crew. That’s not going to end well if something goes wrong. Not saying an expensive crew will save your life.. but I would assume it may lead to better outcomes if possible.

The airline wants to be a low cost airline and needs to cut operating costs to do so. The right thing to do was to shut the whole thing down and start a new company after the debits has been paid. This method is kind of like cheating. Your eating the company from the inside and trying to shed Debt at the same time.
