Your article on Sissel led me to search out the recordings I have of hers going back to a cassette dated 1987 and entitled Glade Jul and containing 13 tracks. Further recordings I have are CDs and DVDs. What I admire about her singing is the clarity of her diction and her voice.
All these recordings were sent by my Norwegian wife’s family but unfortunately like the passing of time they too have also passed on.

I only found this wonderfully talented & beautiful woman about a year ago, much to my regret. Realizing all the years I have missed her angelic voice is heartbreaking. She instantly became my favorite singer of all time. On top of that, she very much looks like my wife & their looks, from teen years to mature followed each other. It has made her all the more loved. Her voice is magic, but her sweet, angelic presence, her beautiful smile, & obvious joy singing, makes her truly someone special. Her voice will live forever.

First time I heard her songs was in a casino lounge in the US. I was so mesmerized and had to ask the bartender for her name and album. Unfortunately, the bar tender didn’t know a thing. Until one day we heard of the Viking River Cruises that showed Sissel in one of the tours. Now we listen to her on Sundays. Will be taking one of the river cruises in June 2022. Hope to see her in person someday. Love the way she talks about the song before she sings it.

Just finished listening to Sissel’s latest Norway Day concert…what a wonderful program! The music was beautiful as only Sissel can make it.I have been a fan of hers for several years now. Her home land is almost as beautiful as my home in Alaska, USA

Greetings from England. I love, love, love her voice. I was was enchanted by her singing back when saw Titanic, and I remember getting «gåsehud» (which is always a good sign). I adore her performance, with Odd Nordstoga, of the carol «Upp gledjest alle, gledjest no», which has pride of place among my large and growing Spotify playlist of uplifting Nordic songs. She is totally correct about language and lyrics. Many of my favourite songs are sung in norsk, dansk, svensk, and finsk, which has inspired me to learn Norwegian. She and her peers are true ambassadors.

İ have heart about her first.English speaking very well.Amazing that she songs a lot of languages exept Turkish. She has HIGH culture affective.l understand that she represent very well Norway.
