The completely irrational and soon to be proven inefectcive lockdown in Norway made me decide to buy a long term holiday property in Mexico, soon the spike of new infections in Norway will make evident that the self inflicted economic crises was absurd and not worth it, so many holiday retreats in Norway are over rated, crowded, expensive and just plane unconfortable, we finaly made it to Mexico to spend 2 months with totally hazel free time, great high ways, no trafic, no cues, afordable and the scenery is breath taking too, heards of tourist not to be seen any where, just fantastic. I never understud why my fellow country people are just so eager to suffer this kind of situations described here, I can’t say I travel to every corner of my country, but thankfully there are other countries out there that can offer fabulous experiences also, why bather and be exposed to a hazel full trip in Norway!

Not just in Norway, I’m afraid. Here in Highland Scotland, we locals have very similar problems. The cursed North Coast 500 has made life impossible for locals and lay-byes on small roads are strewn with rubbish and worse. Narrow roads with people who have no idea how to drive on them or how to use passing places make summers a time to grit teeth and stay as calm as possible. This year, we also have had a sudden rush from England – taking no notice of our cautious Covid rules. Happy days, not! Good luck Norway 🙂

We took the ferry from Bognes to Lødingen just a little over a week ago and didn’t have to wait at all. We drove from Tromsø to Trondheim last week and experienced only a few minor delays due to construction work. Possibly we completed our trip just before the big holiday rush began?
