Kari Diesen-Dahl, Before you disagree with facts that you think were incorrect, you need to reread the article you are criticizing! As I read your comment I immediately remembered the very beginning of said article and it stating where Munch was born and I knew you were wrong when you mentioned Oslo being his birth place!

In reply to Kari Diesen-Dahl. In the first sentence "Born in 1863 in Ådalsbruck, Norway" to me indicates that he was born in1863 in Ådalsbruck, Norway, so where did you get the idea it says he was born in Oslo? Which in 1863 would have been Christiania, (From 1877 the name was spelled Kristiania, and in 1925 its original name Oslo.)

The story above does not say he was born in Oslo. It says he died in Oslo .
He was born in Ådalsbruk.Ka

Nice that there is a story about Munch and his famous painting Scream.

BUT – There is one important correction – he was NOT born in Oslo.

He was born December 12, 1863, Ådalsbruk, Løten, Norway, which is almost 2 hours north of Oslo!
